Last race watch list horses:
Race 4 Handsome Bo Bo (3-1): First time starter for Man with the services of Purton for his career debut, unfortunately drew the 14 hole with the short run to the turn in the 6 furlong races at Sha Tin. He did take some action at the windows going off at 4-1 against a heavy 7-5 favourite winner Eighty Eighty (60). He broke well enough but Purton had to really get into him to gain a position on the backside, was able to get near Eighty Eighty entering the turn but it eventually took its toll on him while still never spitting the bit in the stretch only to finish less than a length behind the winner. He should improve off that effort with the experience he gained.

Race 6 Ambitious Pins (7-1): Was bumped sideways coming out of the gate when one of the runners under him took a left turn out of the gate and it looked as if he took the worse of it. Made a nice move on the backside with Rispoli trying to get him back in the race, was full of run in the stretch but was totally blocked with nowhere to go, was steadied at the 150 mark to go closed well when room became available but by then the race was over.

Race 8 Time Warp (7-2): After an impressive wire to wire win in the Longines Hong Kong Cup, a need to lead type runner was taken right out of the race as soon as the gates opened up. He leaped out of the gate costing him a length but more important he was now stuck behind a wall of runners, when Purton asked him for a run to get into the event he became very rank, then was forced four wide in the turn by Leung on Beauty Generation (126). Purton never asked him to run in the stretch, didnít even show him stick.

Race 10 Royal Mojito (6-1): Went off as the second betting choice at 5-2 to the eventual winner Apolloís Choice (86) who had a perfect trip to the line. Royal Mojito bobbled out of the gate on the rail losing 2 lengths to the field, nice ride by the bugboy Mo gradually moving him off the rail and to the 4 path for the stretch run, ran evenly in the stretch but was never going to catch the easy winner.
