The only way I can see Apple TV offering better picture quality, is if the shows are provided by Apple TV themselves at some sort of higher bitrate streaming...

Do you think Apple TV 4k is better than say, Nvidia SHIELD? Should be the same, right? Don't see why the quality would differ. They are both 4k boxes. (Shield also supports ATMOS, which is nice)
