If you want to stay off-strip and away from the madness, I recommend Red Rock. It is by far the cleanest and most pleasant place to watch the races as far as local places go and the ticket writers...

I believe he recommended going back only 5-6 races, unless it's you need a line for a specific surface and then you can go back a little further.
