All fantasy aside.

Fun article to read. I noticed a couple of things from it. First, you can bet (pardon the pun) that he and the other computer teams go after price in their selections. He emphasized the need for...

That's what we get for thinking!

Well, this you got to see. Sorry about the link but it would be a very long post if I cut and pasted it.

It seems that a guaranteed system has emerged to win every Breeder's Cup. And I sort of...

Wow!

Reportedly de Seroux was not the most diplomatic trainer on the backstretch. Her husband is Emmanuel de Seroux, a renoun bloodstock agent who represents a ton of European and especially French...

Shoe Rememberances

I only met him once, ironically in a bar-type place on the backstretch at Del Mar. He was a up-and-coming trainer in SoCal and had a lot of early success. It was before his accident.

I had a...

All politics aside...if possible

Yea, sad but true. His comments on-air were courageous and eloquent. However, I will never listen to him the same way again. I admire his talent and conviction, but to take such a unforgiving...

And another thing!

Who are these morons who "race" to these casinos around the world just to play these stupid slots? They change the bells and play themes but slots just rob your money. You have NOOOOO chance to...

Yea, he got a Goood claim.

It is hard to know exactly what led to this drop. Winstar Farms (The previous owner) has developed quite a reputation these days. Maybe they thought that the horse was beneath them. Maybe Walden...

They picked the perfect spot...

What do you think?

I would guess that less than 5% of horse owners profit from this "investment". Where do you think the phrase "Sport of Kings" comes from? You had to be a king to afford it.

Sam Rubin, the owner...

Keeneland--My favorite worst track.

Looks to me like 5 of 7 winners came from the 1 or 2 hole. And a bunch on the lead.

I am not a big believer in "biased" tracks for the most part. I used to look for it but once you've figured...

Well said!

Alysheba88

The truth is that when I was on the backstretch a bunch during the late 80's in SoCal, I (along with everyone else back there) hated Lukas. Why? Just jealousy.

The truth is he ran...

Pincay has a very tough road here. Hunington has been around forever and has a good reputation. They will fight this to the end.

Private Horde--real or unreal?

I know the connections of Private Horde. This is the first horse these owners have ever purchased. They are very inexperienced. But the trainer Joe Cain is one of the most underrated trainers...
