You are correct, he does not mention medication in the article and that is a BIG issue, however, he only suggested to shorten the Belmont from 12f to 10f (not shorten the Preakness to 1f) and space...

I don't think Jerardi is advocating shortening ALL stakes races, and carding more 12f and up races would not necessarily end the speed breeding, at least not right away. Maybe more Euro's will ship...
