But he will increase the parking by $30-$60 instead.

If you come early, you can get breakfast that day.
Where else can you get a 3 minute egg in a minute and 40 seconds?

Don't be surprised if it happens. Pretty sure the Owners would agree. We'll see.

You know they don't care if it's Regular Joe or Extraordinary Joe who is there. They only want to get as much as they can in ticket sales.

Watchmaker: Post-position draw paramount in Pegasus

http://www.drf.com/news/watchmaker-p...amount-pegasus

Excerpt:

Thatís why I suggested that what happens at the Pegasus draw could, just for starters, change the way the race is bet. I canít envision any scenario where Gun Runner isnít strongly favored. But if Gun Runner draws a reasonably good post, I think heís as big a cinch to be an odds-on favorite as he is to be named Horse of the Year. And good luck beating him. But if Gun Runner draws, say, post 10 or wider, I suspect his price will be higher than even-money, and he will suddenly become a vulnerable favorite.

Makes you wonder if post positions should ever have that kind of impact.

Tracks should schedule races at distances that don't create this sort of thing. But horsemen, for the most part, bring it on themselves. They run ridiculous 1m 1/16 races at Laurel which start almost on the turn because trainers don't want to run 9f.

I've always thought of it as some sort of "class" thing. Somehow they feel like a mile and one eighth is more classy than three sixteenths. And it's definitely what you say.

Expect the "Regular South Florida Set" there like last year...

Belinda has to approve any corporate changes.

The only connections who should be for this change are those of Gun Runner.

The others as a whole are better off leaving it as is.

Gulfstream has the most to gain by doing things right, that is for sure.

Amen.

letswastemoney 01-22-2018 07:19 PM

So if they do this and Gun Runner draws wide, will he still be a lock to win then?
