Big QB trade

Lions trade Stafford for Rams Goff?

Does either team gain anything? Maybe the Rams do

Rams gave up a lot of picks but a major part of this trade for them is getting Goff off the books.

The lions gained. They got rid of a stiff who put up numbers in garbage time against prevent defenses and got draft picks and only had to eat some money with a guy who could improve. He was awful last year, but he is no worse than Stafford

TBD. To be determined. The Rams are just a better organization. They will be right there again next year . The Lions have won one playoff game in 60 years or so. Goff is up and down . He looked like a hero vs Tampa Bay . Went down there and absolutely gutted them for 350 yds. His playoff performance wasn’t bad either for having a broken thumb. But when he’s bad , he throws it to the wrong team. He has these unexplainable bad streaks. Short term the Rams probably will be better next year. But if someone works with Goff and straightens him out. AND the goofy Lions do something good with the draft they acquired. The Lions can maybe do something in that division. The reason Green Bay goes 13-3 is they play the Lions twice a year . And this year it wasn’t like the Bears or Vikings could keep up either .

Detroit traded old Matt Stafford for young Matt Stafford.

I hope they draft well with those added Round 1's
I never thought much of either of these guys; think both are slightly above average QB's

The Bears will continue to be mediocre (or worse) until they get new ownership. The McCaskey clan is football stupid, and all they care about is the $$. If they really wanted to win, Ryan Pace would have been fired this season if not before. Like right after the Trushitsky pick.

And the QB swap doesn't affect the NFC North much. Unless Rogers quits the game, GB will always compete to be 1st in that division.

How crazy is it that the Bears and Nick Foles actually beat the Bucs this year.

Its a lot like an unheard-of golfer winning a major championship. When playing at the highest level of a particular sport, everyone is vulnerable.

Well Nick Foles did beat Tom Brady a few years back in the Super Bowl and did it again this season.

Both Nick Foles and Eli Manning are better than Tom Brady. :) Just kidding.
