Times and Points of Call
 

Why do Route Races in a Pace Line have 4 times listed, but 5 points of call. Which point of call goes with what time?

Thanks Speed Figure for the Chart. However, I still have questions.

Here is a Paceline for a 1 1/16 turf race:

Times: 23.4 48.0 112.0 141.1

Lengths behind: (3.5) (4.5) (2.5) (2) (2.5)

My questions are as follows: Does the 3.5 go with the 23.4 or the 48.0? Or does the 4.5 go with the 23.4 or the 48.0? Does the 2.5 or the 2.0 go with the 112.0?

The 3.5 goes with the 23.4.

The 2 is the stretch call, with no time given. The stretch call is made one furlong before the finish regardless of how long the actual stretch is.
