Who should be the next FBI director?
 

I would love it if South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy was nominated .. might even have some dim heart attacks during the process.

I think the right choice is Kellyanne Conway.

Never work. Gowdy as head of FBI? Great. Gowdy as working for Trump? Oil and water, they can't mix.

Gowdy is too rational and Trump is too emotional. Trump would, eventually, try to micromanage him and Gowdy would not put up with it.

It would be a good idea to get a seasoned respected law enforcement individual to head the FBI, but when you see a list that includes several current and former members of Congress, it has the potential to become a consolation prize/ golden parachute for a career politician.

I suspect he nominates the first female FBI director.

Maybe not JR, they would not dare dump on Sheriff David Clarke. But it would be tough getting him to move to the beltway.

I would love seeing Rudy Giuliani in that position, I do not think he could handle the pay cut. The thing is I bet the President had his pick before dropping the hammer on James Comey.
