Hoping for a miracle

I'm looking for a trifecta picking book(let) from decades ago that I used extensively with good results. It was sold mid to late 80's and I remember a light blue cover with "The authors surname Method". There were ten or so criteria covering pp almost winners and second by a head etc. as picks.

I hope my feeble description rings a bell with someone.

Enjoying the forum so far.

Welcome aboard Par4dcourse,

Lots of information here. The search function is a big help. Where did you come across this book or booklet? Did you see an ad in the Daily Racing Form, American Turf Monthly, Turf and Sport Digest, Turf Guide, Racing Star Weekly or did you buy it at a bookstore or newsstand? Could you have ordered it from a system mill that came from a flyer in the mail?

Do you remember the approximate size ( 8 x 11, 5 x 9), etc? Thickness? Did it have a binding or just a few sheets of paper stapled together? I have a good collection of books and magazines from that time, but it doesn't ring a bell at the moment. Hope you find the information that you need.

It was an 8 1/2 x 11 with a binding, about 50 pages. Purchased from an add in DRF, there was a money back guarantee if you followed the system exactly and it failed. One of the "rules" was to bet only on dirt races over a mile, no maiden or claiming.

Hope that helps.

60 pages long. Whole system shown in pdf. Looks interesting and I don't even play triples.(often)

Thanks for the try but no cigar. Read this one but it didn't work on paper.

Mr. Trifecta?

I have a few old booklets that sound like what you describe - one of them if the Million Dollar Move Collection and another is the Stretch Gain Angle. Unfortunately, the author doesn't put his name or contact info on either one of them and I can't remember what it was.

Maybe the names will job someone's memory?

YES! That's it.

Can't imagine why he would leave his name off the product!

Thanks, Jeff.
