Which tablet

I am planning to spend more time at the race track. I was looking for reviews of tablets that have been used with DRF Formulator. Thank you in advance for your time.

I dont use Formulator but I use a variety of pps. I often save to pdf and mark them up with notes, comments from the replays etc. If you plan on doing anything of the like the Apple Ipad Pro with the Apple Pencil is the way to go. The Samsung offerings (which I have 3 of) dont come close with the stylus or 3rd party pens (ie Bamboo brand etc.).

Do you need a special version of PDF reader to use the Pencil?

I have an IPAD Pro and was wondering about a Pencil, but I wasn't sure what else I would have to buy.

I use a Chromebook when I visit my mother. I think it's pretty nifty and I haven't had any issues with Formulator.

I waited to buy a pencil. I wish I had done it earlier. It works in many ways you don't realize. I can mark up just about anything, no extras. If it's a doc that works in IOS....you can pretty much mark it up. If not, take a screen shot of the page, and mark it up there. I use it all the time in my business docs.

Purchased the IPad Pro just for marking up pps with the pencil. I used Good Notes purchased from the app store and open up the pps in there. It has different coloured highlighters, pencils, pens etc.. I couldn't function without it.

Puffin.

To use Formulator's full suite, replays, you require flash.

In short, if you need to access Flash content on an Android device, your best bet is to install the Puffin browser. It runs Flash in the cloud, though it does so as if it were running locally on your device. You can play games, watch video, and access a multitude of Flash content.

All you have to do is save the document to the tablet in order to make pencil modifications.

For files that won’t allow pencil usage all you have to do is take snapshots of the pages, go to photos, choose the photos and create a PDF file.

Only bad thing about the pencil is that it is soooooo easy to lose. I just lost mine a few days ago.
