That will be fun watching the Belmont office people loading horses into the gate.

Who cares, I'm on a losing streak anyway :D

So NYRA is not paying for health insurance for people who can't work all the way to 65, but who are crucial to the safety of the jockeys and horses?

They need to step up and extend the coverage.

You would think by now you would tire of jumping to conclusions on this board.

Corporate America covers people just for so long...

Then its up to the government......

So these guys want a lifetime pass ??????????????

If the NYRA can make money hand over fist thanks to the casino, and if the horsemen can get almost $100,000 purses for allowance and maiden races, then the starters who get beat up in the gate for 25+ years in order to retire should get bridge health coverage.

As far as I’m concerned, if the assistant starters are on strike then placing a bet on a NYRA race is the same as crossing a picket line. And I’m not doing that.

I'm not the one who shills for a company that is screwing loyal employees so badly that they are forced to announce a strike.

Are you going to cross the picket lines, Andy?

You know zero about the story but have already played judge and jury. It's your MO.

What do you call 1000 lawyers at the bottom of the sea?

I saw no evidence in the article or in this tread to support or refute that statement.
