FINGER LAKES ONLY 4 1/2 RACES

Does anyone know why Finger Lakes is carding only 4 1/2 f. races? Has the track been remodeled?

They always do that to start the year. Most of the horse do not ship out for the winter so they need those short races to help get them ready to race. April is the part time month. Now that it is May, the distances will start to get longer pretty quick. There was a 5 furlong one yesterday.

I've been betting Finger Lakes forever and they always have 4 1/2 fur, races at the start of the meet

When I saw he title of the thread, the only thing I could think of was 1/2 a race? Is this a new "about" distance?

New failsafe we have here.
When the timer malfunctions, the race stops.
