The whole issue is a joke. They took the original statement out of context where Trump said soldiers go there knowing the risk. Then when that gets corrected they go for the ever popular claim of racism.
Just another of many examples where democrats/liberals will stoop to any level to get a leg up. More intelligent people however are getting more and more wise to it. Its become so obvious of late.

It isn't whether soldiers go into a combat zone knowing the risk or not. Of course they do. It's all about whether Trump should have said that to his grieving parents.
Instead of saying "He knew what he was signing up for," he should have said. "Your son was a brave man, dedicated to his country. I'm sure he understood the dangers he might be facing. Yet, in spite of that, he put himself in harms way to help others and serve his country.
The statement Trump made diminishes the soldier and his sacrifice. It makes it seem that oh well it was just one of those things.
The statement he did not make specifically acknowledges the bravery of the fallen warrior. It shows that this was a choice he made while cognizant of the dangers and praises him for looking out for someone besides himself.
Something Trump never does.
