Advanced Deposite Wagering

Anyone on Pace Advantage have any news of ADW wagering in Texas. Since Twin Spires was taken away from us I have used Bovada for a couple years. They are o.k. but T/S's sure was easier and very trustworthy. I have sent letters to every state rep. in my Houston area and get the same basic replay which I don't think care much about TX racing. Heaven forbid should the Sacred Cow called Texas Lottery lose a player !

Don't think it is even a blip on the legislative radar in Texas. So much casino money flows to Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico and they don't seem to care. Horse racing probably about 10 levels below that on the give a shit scale.

You hit the nail on the head there.

I've always wondered if it's legal to get around per state restrictions by setting up an LLC in a state that is least restrictive and then betting through that. Luckily, I live in a state that isn't too bad, but I've thought about this w/r/t Betfair - I'm not in NJ, so can't use it. Obviously it wouldn't be worth if for a casual player

Can you say if you spoke with a lawyer?? Not even sure what kind of lawyer would deal with this kind of stuff.

A bill to allow it was introduced in 2017, but it apparently died in committee. Of course.

ADW

That is an idea . I think I'll swing by my Lawyers office and hear his opinion if he has one. He's just 2 miles away and no charge for just a question. Family Lawyer. Yes, nice simple idea. Thanks :headbanger:
