Belmont and Laurel Saturday

Nice betting cards Saturday at LRL and BEL. I have always liked the state bred showcase days. I might post some thoughts on a few races today ,perhaps some other folks might also.

Some of the BEL races are off the turf but mutuel windows will remain open.

Congrats to the good old DRF for not putting Laurel PPs in Saturday.
They put 4 races only.

Like they are really in touch with the betting public! :puke:

LRL 1 :7: is 25-1 ,she is a bit slower than :2::8::12: but seems to run her race most of the time . Needs a good trip ,should be coming from off pace.:7:w/p and exbox with :2::8::12:

Tom 10-20-2018 12:20 PM

The Laurel card looks pretty good.
Not so much interest in the NY inbred races.
Got a few races that look playable.

tophatmert 10-20-2018 12:33 PM

LRL 2 :1::2::7::11: Looking to get :7: or:11: to close with the :2:.Both are long odds and should get pace to run into.

tophatmert 10-20-2018 12:59 PM

BEL2 Looks chalky but will use :1: to start a pick3 and win bet.

tophatmert 10-20-2018 02:00 PM

BEL 4 :3:Kiarans horses are running well not so sure about Jason Servis anymore. :3: with:6::8:. it wouldn't shock me if Servis, horses ran good but it sure doesn't seem the same as it was 6 weeks ago when everything he had was running

tophatmert 10-20-2018 02:31 PM

Gary Contessa horses are running on the other hand.

tophatmert 10-20-2018 02:51 PM

LRL 6 Even money on the five not my cup of tea:2:.:7::9:exbox :7:w/p.

tophatmert 10-20-2018 02:54 PM

that should be:3::7::9:exbox

So far, a depressing card.
Race 8 - looks like the Pen shipper, :4: at least knows how to win, which most
of the others show no inclination to do. Bad bunch of non winners. This is what Maryland is proud of?:lol::lol:

Next best is :5: who has never put two good races together.

Desperation setting in -not a single good looking bet has materialized today - looking at 10 tracks and garbage coast to coast.
I'll take 3-5 just to cash one and stop.

:4: BANKIT should give them a run for the money. I think he enjoys the stretch-out and that the favored :6: will be exposed.

Of course there's the threat of the :6: being a legit stakes horse and carrying his speed.

Or the :4: engaging the :6: and collapsing the race, which would give Castellano and Johnny V. a chance to grind home in a bunched up stretch finish with :10::1:

Interesting race. I'm rooting for the :4: to bury the :6: and invite some high-priced friends to the party in some shape or form, be it Win or Vertical Exotics
