Race shenanigans??

Benny Southstreet the best trip handicapper in the business calls this race at Haw fishy.

I agree with his assessment. I have no idea why some Jockeys refuse to ride another 10 feet THROUGH THE WIRE.

Benny Southstreet's account is interesting. It's a low point for this site to have Tweets from the other site posted.

My god what a stagger fest that was.

Each horse was sorer than the one before.

However, I agree with you Andy. Why not teach yourself to ride just "2" strides past the wire. Thereby eliminating any chance for a mistake and or negative scrutiny at the point of the race that EVERYBODY is focused on.

That's a BOLD statement Brisky.

Best trip handicapper in the business?

Not saying it's wrong. I've heard some positive things about his work.

But there are a couple posters on this forum in TLG and myself who have a skillset for doing trips ourselves!

...and in ( possible ) record time, Vic finds a way to insert himself into the conversation.

Just an opinion.

Vic this has nothing to do with Benny calling you out the other day for you misjudging the finish line and Tina coming to your defense asking Benny how many races hes called??

Benny just gave it back to you for calling out Bejerano.

Alex, you will always be my favorite internet troll.

I know it doesn't Brisk.

I thought it was very interesting that Benny called me out on that mistake the other day.

An unsolicited shot out of the blue for what reason?

I had never interacted with him before.

Perhaps it gained him some traction with buddies who don't like my work or the way I roll on social media.

Ok I guess that makes sense.

But for a guy who does trip notes I assume he hears thousands of race calls and hundreds of race callers.

He knows very well we all have different styles and philosophies and VERY WELL that we all make mistakes.

Anyone who turns on a microphone is going to make mistakes and the world will know. No re-do's when on live.

If he thinks I was mean or unfair to Bejarano (which I explained my position in a 7 tweet post) why not open a dialog rather than just firing away with something that would most likely result in a BLOCK?

As much as guys like TLG would like to dream. Not everybody hates me. I actually have a few people who like what I bring to the table and appreciate the candor about our business which I provide.

So why wouldn't a guy like Benny use some of the street cred I've built up and establish a relationship?

I give props and recommendations to people I don't necessarily like all the
time.

I'm not sure but I think Nancy is using his notes prepping for our show. She mentioned it and I told her that was terrific and applauded for going the extra mile.

If he had just respectfully said he didn't appreciate my choice of words that day. Rather than going DA HOSS and turning most people off. Maybe I could have expanded about his product on our show and helped his distribution?

It's so easy to sit behind the keyboard and snicker trying to impress 15 people who are sitting in their jammies in their mother's basement.

It's much harder to gain the respect of industry professionals and truly become a viable, successful force.

It's those choice that I'll never understand!

It's easier for me to be critical of the rider of #6 for not riding out through the finish than for the ride on the #5. A rider can sometimes sense when a horse is done or maybe even feels a little off. So he may not want to take an unwarranted risk by pushing. If you own the horse, you can ask after a ride like that and take him off if you don't like the answer, but horseplayers are mostly just guessing.

Why do you feel the need to constantly comment on how I choose to spend some of my free time?

Which BTW is the exact way you've chosen to spend your free time.

I don't care what you do.

Why are you so obsessed with commenting on what I do?

You've gotten to the sad point where for lack of any other material you've decided to comment on the fact that I'm COMMENTING.

Nothing else.
