Race 5 (5 horses entered) winner pays $8.20 and Race 6 (only 2 horses entered) winner pays $4.40 and the $2 DD pays $63.80! Very generous!

There is something really fishy going on at Arapahoe Park on that day.

DD pools:
Race 1: $230
Race 2: $3092
Race 3: $391
Race 4: $355
Race 5: $3381
Race 6: $537

The race 2 & 3 DD for two dollars with a $4.80 horse and a $4.40 horse paid $271.00
Definitely investigation-type stuff.

Correction: payoff was $261.00

In round numbers:


Of the $3,361 pools for the Race 5 and 6 double, $3,000 had #3 in the first leg... who was 20/1+.


Looks like someone trying to get one over a bookie somewhere.


Same story in race 2. The #6 was heavy in the doubles, jumped 35/1.

Arapahoe Daily Double
 

From what I understand from talking to some folks at the track, there was a mistake made at an out of state OTB. Someone was trying to place a $500 DD box at Del Mar, and it mistakenly was placed at Arapahoe Park instead, thus resulting in the huge payout. I have no idea if it's the truth, but that's what I was told by someone "in the know".

Del Mar had closed the week earlier....

Probably meant the Surfside at Del Mar.

I noticed that Bovada removed daily doubles from their Arapahoe wagering options at first and now you can no longer play Arapahoe at all

we need to take up daily double betting at Aarapahoe!
