I've complained for years that I could not bet on golf unless I was in Nevada or the UK. No more! :jump:

Bet 5 guys legally in New Jersey at Monmouth Park to win the British Open:

1. Alex Noren: $20 to win $620 (30-1)
2. Louis Oosthuizen: $20 to win to get back $1,220 (60-1)
3. Rafa Cabrera-Bello: $10 to win to get back $760 (75-1)
4. Danny Willett: $5 to win to get back $755 (150-1)
5. Jon Rohm: $20 to win to get back $460 (22-1)

Last couple winners at Carnoustie (Lawrie & Harrington) were from Europe. Oosthuizen's from South Africa but I think the 2010 champ is an overlay.

The fairways at Carnoustie look like the GP turf course

Who are we kidding, Gulfstream doesn't have a 'turf' course. :pound: Pretty sure they go out there every morning and sprinkle some green easter basket string on that track and call it turf. There are highways that are softer than the Gulfstream 'turf' course.

Anyway...

Carnoustie gonna get carved up with zero wind and blue skies and soft greens. The 63 at a Major could well go down today.

Tiger in the clubhouse and in the hunt, for now. Barring a weather change could be looking at leaders around -12 by the end of the day.

Four Americans at the top; plus Tiger, Rory & Fleetwood all 4 back. Should be a good finish. Don't count Kisner out, he's looking to redeem himself for last years PGA fold.

WTF?

Kisner is a great player. He is tied for the lead.

There are 19 damn good players within 4 of the lead. The wind is gonna blow tomorrow.

This is gonna be fantastic viewing early in the morning.

………….……………………...

Why would you call Kevin Kisner great?

He's been a pro golfer for 12 years and has only two tour victories and no major victories.

You obviously have no concept of how hard it is to win on the PGA Tour against a full and nearly loaded field.

Kisner has done that. Twice. HE can play.

Lemon Drop Husker 07-22-2018 09:53 AM

Spieth would be my play today.

He seems to be the 'now' guy that rises to the occasion.

Man, this is fun stuff to watch with El Tigre in the mix again. :jump:

WAKE UP AMERICA!

Tiger is on the prowl and within 1 on a Sunday at a Major!

Redboard 07-22-2018 09:30 PM

Pretty disappointing performance by the Americans, except for Tiger. All Spieth, the great Kisner or Schauffele had to do was shoot par and they would have won.
