I completely agree with everything you said. The issue is we failed to replace it with something better. Obamacare was terrible. It's even more terrible now. That isn't a victory.

It will be interesting in upcoming elections how Healthcare is viewed by the general electorate. Since the GOP is now responsible for the ACA.

That is definitely part of the solution but there are a lot of entrepreneurs and self employed people out there with pre-existing conditions.

Before ObamaCare, most states had high-risk pools, where people with pre-existing conditions could get health insurance with state subsidies.

In a high-risk pool, the subsidy comes from general tax revenues. Under ObamaCare, the subsidy comes from the young and healthy who are forced to pay for more coverage than they want or need.

At least I have coverage for my future pregnancy. (54 year old guy)

And the Demwits don't want to fix what they created. I can only hope and pray that ObamaCare suffers an agonizing death and fades rapidly into the category of a bad nightmare of one broken promise after another.

Let those people do what the folks in KY are going to do -- pay into Medicaid and get their health needs met with that system.

Last I heard, about 75% of doctors don't accept Medicaid.

And easy fix. Two things: The government needs to find out why are so many doctors anti-medicaid. Then fix what's wrong.

It doesn't pay.

Sounds like a bureaucratic problem. Just need to cut through that nonsense.

The government knows why so many doctors are "anti-Medicaid". It's because Medicaid payments are much lower than Medicare or any insurance, and don't cover the cost of care. Doctors have this irrational opposition to losing money on patients.

The fix is easy. The feds and the states need to spend a lot more money propping up Medicaid. :rolleyes:
