This table shows expected Exacta Payoff for different Winner Paid/Placer Paid combinations.
Each combo is based on the IQR median of aprox 1000 races (125,000 Exactas in base)
Table is for 9 horse fields. Smaller fields don't change the medians much, 10 horse fields are slightly higher. The data covers multiple tracks but the Exacta take-outs are similar enough.
If you think you got too little (or too much :D), look in the column for what the winner paid and go down to the row for the placer's price. You might be surprised.
