creating your own track program??

? for any harness players.
How do you get/create your track program?
I have an account for the trackmaster .exe files and a software program that handles speed and pace.

are there any 3rd party software products that will allow me to create the pp's ? I'm looking to basically create the track program with out having to buy the pp's from trackmaster.
thanks

Where would you obtain the previous racelines, results and/or past performances?

The USTA has exclusive proprietary rights, as explained on each and every one of their web pages?
Using a 3d party software to download and utilize them is an infringement (not only by the user, but also the developer of the software) and they'll gladly serve you with a cease and detest (as has been done in the past).

Trackmaster holds a second proprietary right as well.

Don,
you've clearly given me something to think about. I'll say that since my other software puts out speed and pace ratings from the .exe files i will assume that they will come from the same files. I could be wrong. More investigation needed on my part.

It can be done. It will take a lot of your time.
You need a free data source. USTA daily results can fill the data source.
You will need a way to parse that data from the web.
You could create a Access database with the USTA results, draw your lines from the db and create a usable program.

Isn't everything you need in the .exe file you are buying?

As an example of what can be done using FREE Canadian track programs, here's a spreadsheet the pulls info from Mohawk Programs and creates/compares probabilities based on 5 different factors.

This is not a finished program and fails miserably on Maidens and 11/12 horse fields. I post it simply as an aid to those creating their own track program.

To use it you will need PDF-Exchange Viewer to open the Mohawk program and set the tools menu to 'text select'. Other PDF viewers will not work.

Good Luck

1miner, I have done this when I created my own software. It takes awhile as you need to create many macro's. It was about a year + of working on it, which included a team approach with 3 other developers and analyst software adjustments.

Many have created pace and speed software, including Pandy who has a very useful Sharphorses software. Many are not in PP Format due to walking the copyright line. As long as you are paying for the data, such as .exe, you can USE them, but I don't believe you can sell or promote the information.

You have the Trackmaster exe file.
You have all the program data you need.

When you double click on (run) the exe file it
will produce seven separate files which produce
all the program data.

Files:
TRAINRHR
SIREHR
RUNLINHR – PPL LINES
RACESHR
PTTRHR
HORSEHR
DRIVEHR
DAMHR

You need a relational database program that
will combine the files you want and produce
a printout.

I combine the files I need to provide the data for
my computer program.

Gentleman & Ladies,
I apologize for not replying sooner. Battling ISP issues today.

Foremost, I've no interest in selling anything. Mostly I was trying to reduce the $ outflow to trackmaster.

Tom and HWIG....yes i see it now. Pretty much everything is in the .exe file.
Thank you!

Postime. willphorse & HWIG, thank you. Relational database....my barely existent SQL skills are a decade old and rusty. Obviously this is a longer term project than i thought.

Ray2000....thank you thats pretty cool.

thank you all for your responses!!!
