That's a great read, thanks for sharing. I had to chuckle at the part where two other buyers wanted to make Man o' War a jumper. How different would history have been?

Horseracing in general does have a very interesting and colorful historical background.
I often come away though feeling that so many aspects of racing in the States has degraded to the point of despair for many horse players.
The game has certainly changed over the years.
