gambling site software help!!!
 

My sons' new work computer has some software that will not let him go to any horse racing sites or any gambling sites..Is there a workaround or a way to delete it from the computer??I am not sure what it's called or how to find it!!!Any help would be appreciated.

And why should your son be allowed to gamble during work or on his work computer? If the company paid for the computer they get to decide whether he can access certain web sites.

They are probably using something like Barracuda network security to block access to known gambling web sites. Or they have a blacklist of IP addresses they don't allow users to access.

Either way it is unlikely he will be able to easily get around it. And if he did that might be considered a violation of company policy.

Being a systems engineer I have to say this was good for a laugh. :D

Typically work computers use a VPN and then a proxy/firewall, filtering out inappropriate (non work related sites), again in most cases this is all tracked by the employer, do not use a work computer for gambling purposes and that includes work issued phones. It's 2020, assume everything is monitored.
