As a kid I loved drinking grape soda, though my teeth and bloodstream probably didn't like the staining and sugar overload. Never in my nearly 60 years have I thought the drink had anything to do with racism.

Why don't the PC police go ahead and ban the new Popeye's chicken ads I've seen? They are full of black people enjoying their "stereotypical" meals.

We had a similar case over here recently when a trainer/owner named his horse Jungle Bunny. The British Horse Racing Authority ordered the name to be changed. The biggest issue though was how the BHA allowed the name in the first place as all names have to be cleared by them first. On balance I am inclined to believe the trainer when he said it was an innocent mistake but also amazed that he did not realise how offensive the name was.

Anyhoo...are some of you guys really operating under the notion that this guy innocently named a horse Grape Soda and is being shafted by NYRA due to the cancel culture going on right now?

HE ****ING TWEETED ON JAN 1 THAT HE NAMED A HORSE AFTER A CERTAIN TVG ANALYST USING A "UNIQUE NAME" and then ended the tweet with a black fist emoticon.

He did it ON PURPOSE. And even explained why:
