Richard Dutrow Jr.

Any thoughts on what could be Richard Dutrow Jr's last day as a trainer in NY ?
I for one, will miss betting on him,but its time for him to leave.

Adios.

Knowclew 01-16-2013 10:39 AM

I guess I have become immune to his situation, as it has dragged for so long.
I know his latest appeal was shot down. Could this really be his last day?

I would say good riddance. I wish he wasn't alone.

maybe its time for Dutrow to finally get a break, he's over due

Will there be a passing of the needle ceremony to Ness?

One of my favorite trainers, I haven't continually followed the details with this suspension, and was completely unaware that this was his last day.

I hope he gets a fair deal. If there is the evidence against him that calls for a ban, then he should be banned. If there is not, I hope he is not. A fair deal is all you can really ask.

My only question is, when do the OTHERS get theirs?
Surely he is not the only one.

If you give one guy 10 years and don't touch anyone else, you looks stupid and you lose any credibility.

But, if you leave him alone under the premise that if you cant punish them all, you punish nobody, you lose MORE credibility.

If a whole caravan of cars are doing 85 MPH and the cop pulls YOU over only and you say "but i wasnt the only one" i think he might just tell you that "you were the one who was caught" and still write the ticket.

Dutrow was doing 85, got caught and the others doing 85 have gotten away (so far).

To me, i believe this is a good start to cleaning up the game, you know the old saying:

Good start?
How many years sicne he was originally supended?
What is the hold up on the rest?
Perhaps others are more "connected" to racing officials to be charged?

Hey, its not perfect and in fact, its far from perfect, but they finally got their man lol.

Hopefully this is just the beginning of a parade of cheats heading for the exits.

Seeing how this process has been going on a few years now, it would have to be the worlds slowest parade.

How in hell you can say this is astonishing? Let me guess? You know him personally? Are friends with him?

This is like saying Lance Armstrong is your fav biker.

Let me guess, your fav character in the batman series is the joker.

When you watch WWII documentaries you cheer for the SS?

This guy has done more damage to the game than anybody in the last ten years. If you count the national coverage of his ill fated Big Brown campaign, in which I am sure he made thousands on, he may be the biggest villain in the last 20 yrs.
