Screen resolution

My o/s on my desktop still uses Vista. Suddenly all my icons and pages I go to are supper large. I had this issue years ago with Win98 and could correct it by right clicking on a blank space and go to properties.
This o/s has a personalize option...the resolution feature ruins the image. Now I'm having to adjust screen size on every site I visit just to read everything. Went to google and every suggestion there did nothing.
Anyone know anything about antique computers around here? :)

Check the accessibility features. Sometimes you can turn it on with an errant keyboard combo

If you know how.......check device manager to see if display adapter driver is installed. Can try reinstalling it if all else fails.....May not be a good idea if you have no way finding the driver somewhere online

Thanks guys, I'm still working on it. Sad you can't get more than 14 years out of a computer.

Marshall,
When accessing properties/settings/Screen resolution?
Your possibly selecting OK (session) rather than Apply (perm).

Note; My recollection that is when you change settings the desktop icons are moved to one side of screen.

There are several Linux distros that run well on older hardware.

However, it doesn't appear that your icon problem is due to old hardware.
