I predict this thing is gonna end sooner rather than later. At this point, most everyone is scared out of their minds and hunkered down, so community transmission HAS to be suffering some pretty severe setbacks. Mr. Virus can't be too happy.

Plus, it's getting warmer out there, another thing in our favor, no matter what 46zilzal says.

I just wonder what future responses are going to be like.

For instance, back in 2009 when the WHO declared a pandemic for H1N1/Swine Flu pandemic...Obama didn't take the kind of actions we see today (nor did any state governors).

Will that change? Will an H1N1/Swine-like pandemic cause us to freak out and repeat COVID-19?

If not, who decides? What stats will be used to figure out the response?

Curious minds are wondering. Because apparently, not all pandemics are created equal, so that can't be the trigger word.
