Prices up for luxuries of life. But what about the necessities, like beer and pizza?

Fred Mertz 05-12-2022 12:12 AM

Where's beer on that list?

Clocker 05-12-2022 12:20 AM

No big deal for Joe when the taxpayers are paying for his beer and pizza.

I have to give up my beer and pizza so that I can have my caffeine fix throughout every day. :coffee:

Moonshine is still plentiful and affordable.

Only if they are stealing grain, sugar and lets not forget propane. Otherwise expect a significant increase in your bootleg liquor. Bulk grains are up 47% since last year. And even if they are pinching all their supplies... they are not going to sell at a discount. Cause everything in their daily life cost more.

So fuck Joe Briben and his VP whore.

Landlord bumping me 10% this year. I pay utilities, natural gas and electric, which have gone up 30%. Grocery bill up 20%, gasoline skyrocketing. Insurance rates are up, durable stuff up and a shipping surcharge for stuff I have shipped.

I notice Brandon is always willing to accept credit for favorable economic news but always has a scapegoat for unfavorable numbers.

Joe's most favored scapegoats:

Putin
White supremists
Ultra Maga
Senate
Covid
Oil Companies
Fox News
Climate Change
Trump
Social Media
Supreme Court
China
Rick Scott

I paid $11.65 for a six pack of Corona, that is damn near what a 12 pack used to cost. The real ball busters for me are stainless steel and aluminum bar stock rounds. Last price quote was $4.72 and $6.75 per pound, those were both running in the neighborhood of $2.50 at the end of Trump's term. Prices kept dropping after the tariff spikes. Shapes like squares, rectangles and sheet are even a lot more. Let's go Brandon!

Would that be the Rick Scott from Wisconsin or Florida?

I don't have natural gas and my water comes from a well. Electricity didn't go up, maybe because most of it comes from a nuke plant. That is fortunate because I have an all electric house. The heating oil I supplement electric heat with in my shop went up 25%. Shipping prices have went crazy. I buy a lot of shop supplies in the same volume. I just go hit the re-order button. I noticed a lot of the costs of the lighter orders on shipping have doubled. What was once $30 a year ago is now $60. 8% inflation my ass FJB.

Wow, that'll drive a man to drink.

I just checked WalMart for my everyday beer, Coors. It's $20.98 for a 30-pack of cans, which I feel is getting up there. A local grocery has better beers on sale from week to week. I bought a 15-pack of Kilt Lifter a couple weeks back for $10.95. I'm still thinking half in the past, where those prices are nuts.
