Does anyone remember this incident from about 10 years ago?

I was watching a race simulcast from a fair track in California about 10 years ago. Prior to the race there was an older gentleman analyst talking about the horses. He spoke of one horse in particular who either won big or broke its maiden on 9/11 and referenced how big the win was to the actual 9/11 event in history. He said something like the horse blew up the track with its fractions just like 9/11 when everything was blowing up. I know those are not the exact words but pretty close. Anyway for the rest of the card that analyst was never heard from again and one can only assume he was immediately reprimanded. I am still curious to this day who the guy was and what actually became of that situation. It was definitely at a fair track in California.
