Last turf race in NY until around April...hoping it doesn't get washed off with rain in the forecast today.

I'll try to beat the two ML favorites, the 2-9, using the 10 a lot and the 1 a little. The 9 is a reliable closer who tracked a very slow pace last out. She will be coming in the lane but hoping she can't reel them all in. The 2 is solid as well, but simply put, I don't trust Colby vs these jocks. She's the defending champ, but is now 6yrs old with a lone win at Colonial this year (after a great 2021 season). Colby needs to find the right trip and I'll gamble that he doesn't.

:10: Star Devine should be prominent in a rather paceless race, and Jose might jump these gals from the start. She routinely sits just off some :21's and :44's...only other pace is the Mott #7. Jose can ride her hip and hopefully take over before the chalks get moving. She is winless this year, but has kept very good company (see Caravel) and I like the trip she should get today.

:1: Stolen Holiday was very keen going long last out at Kee - Javier had her under heavy restraint. She moved out and made a bid on the far turn and tired. Latest work says she's still sharp and the cutback to 6f may be perfect. Gr3 winner has had success sprinting in the past. Can get a good inside stalk and maybe make an impact in the lane.

I can't see Joel on the outer turf not getting Lady Edith into gear, and just letting Star Devine sit off the flank of the 7. I landed on the :2: Change of Control. Drawing a hard line in the sand at 3/1 on the :2:

:4: Honey Pants at 8/1 and the :6: Hit the Woah at 10/1. Both seem to run their best at this distance. Pace of this race is not the best for them, but at the odds you are getting, worth the bet.

Win/ex didn't net a whole lot but I guess it's better than not cashing at all.
