CJ,

Are the Timeform race adjusted fractions found in the race charts on the TimeformUS website?

Thanks.

Yes, they sure are. However, if you want to see them for each horse, you have to have your PP settings displaying them as well.

Hey, CJ.

I was wondering if you took anything into to account for Honor A.P. for the break and wide trip? When I did Bris figs for the race I have him at 109.

We leave both of those to the handicapper. One day I hope to include ground loss but until that info is provided regularly and accurately it would be a bit much right now.

Jay,

My understanding is that BRIS figs are on a different scale than Beyers. Can you please share what BRIS fig you gave Authentic?

108

Should clarify, this is my best guess at what BRIS will be. I am in no way associated with BRIS. I do this on my own looking for any differences that might benefit me.

CJ's figures are what I consider to be the gold standard. And was really happy that my guess on Authentic lined up with the figure that he gave him.

My opinion is that Honor A.P. ran the best race. Getting sandwiched at the break, put him at the back of the field, then made a long, wide run, losing a lot of ground in the process. I also think that Mr. Big News got a great trip and was just sucked along into his lifetime best. Just my opinion though.

I was shocked when they went 46 to the half.

I'm getting used to 47-48 numbers

cj 09-09-2020 12:18 PM

BRIS actually gave a 105, Beyer a 105 too.

Maybe you can phase it in some day by starting with graded stakes at major tracks that have reliable information and slowly working your way out and down.

Will take some planning for sure. What would happen when they drop in class, or face horses moving into graded stakes for the first time. Might be comparing apples to oranges? Can probably work around that but it isn't something that would be easy.
