W I Mott has just 3 wins in Stakes races going back to April 30th, 2016

His horses aren't even hitting the board his Allowance races are just as bad

I don't like avoiding Trainers but I will have to avoid his horses in Stakes races

That is Belmont only stakes? At non-Belmont stakes I have him at 16% (30/187).

Probably what happened was he changed his name from Bill to W I

Just recently, someone else was complaining about Mott and I provided some stats from Equibase where his 2017 stats ITM% and average per $ start were almost the same as his career ITM% and average $ per start. Considering the span of his career, that's still pretty good.

You can verify on the Equibase website by searching trainer.

Does anyone know where he also has a stable besides NY?

No kidding, that would be average if a stakes race had an average of 6.25 entrants and I am taking a wild guess it is much higher than that.

16% against the best trainers and horses is very commendable

I think Mott is one of the most patient trainers I have ever seen. He really takes his time with his horses. I have a feeling come summer and fall, his horses will start doing better than so far in 2017.

Bet him on his birthday at Saratoga. He usually wins one.

Well it looks like my suspicions were correct as #9 Good Samaritan finished 2nd and Mott has not won a Stakes race at Belmont since June 11th 2016
