Goodbye to champion THUNDER GULCH, one of the best racehorses of our times and one of the kindest stallions imaginable. He has died of the infirmities of old age, per @coolmoreamerica .

I was new to racing and wasn't aware exactly who/ what D. Wayne and Gary really were. Had already got my tickets and had a few bucks left. Something I advise against now, but put a few bucks on him based on the color of the silks.

He really helped start my love of racing. You can tell by my name his greatest gift to me.

I tell people not as familiar with racing as us, it's hard to describe why certain ones grab you. I am thankful he did.

My one and only hit on the Derby future book was Thunder Gulch.

Loved him. He had heart. A huge heart. RIP fella, and thanks.

This would have been my best Derby ever if Timber Country had gotten second. Still, I was pretty happy with my win money.

A horse I'll always remember fondly.

Sorry for late condolences. He was a good horse who won lots of peoples hearts just like Big red. I’m going to miss him. Say hi to big red for me and Penny!
