Small field, paceless race it appears on paper. I always struggle w/this type of race. Joy Epifora, I guess is the pace or will be forwardly placed. :1: will be the longest shot in the field maybe gets sent. The rest all look like closers. :5: gets FTL and has hit the board 7/14 lifetime starts with a measly $30k in earnings. :2: Stunning Sky ML favorite and won a G3 at KEE. I have no idea how this race will play out. Probably just go w/Amazima because the price should be right. What do you think?

A lot more going on with :5: than meets the eye....Do a little digging on the Trainer/Owner.

:1: Final Cut 15/1: As pointed out, the speed, and, your typical need the lead type. Great spot, and normally a play at these odds. Problem is, the turf at Keeneland has been very unkind to speed this meet.

:2: Stunning Sky 2/1: The one to beat, and a money burner. Turf runner no doubt, only win showing was with a very fast pace, in a G 3. Seconds, in slow paced races. Can't bet at 2/1.

:3: Amazima 12/1: At the right distance, wins in average paced races. Gets the right pace, but is facing class droppers. Hard pass.

:4: Joy Epifora 3/1: Can be close in this race. Made a very long run in last, got the lead, and failed. Never won in the US. This one can beat me.

:5: Alnaseem 12/1: Trainer is 3 0 0 0. Yep small sample, but the sample size gets one larger here, and does not improve the trainers record.

:6: Winter Sunset 4/1: Matched lifetime best, second off a long layoff. At 5 yrs old, has 10 starts. Can not trust.

:7: Temple City Terror 3/1: Can't ignore, at least not in this race. If you have to bet this race, this is probably the bet. One look at the horses form, might change your mind.

Would not be excited for this race.

always prefer those from Roberto line at KEE...and connections are fine

I see a lot of closely matched (100,99) horses in this race plus the #5 foreigner that RR mentioned, a difficult horse to create ratings for. It's a tossup.

Not my type of race, but at first glance Id say its between

:7: & :2:

The (2) would be my best horse in this race.
However, I would not bet him at under 3-1 odds.
This would more then likely be a pass race for me.
