Looking for a couple Items
 

1)Talbott Method : A Step by Step Approach to Improved Handicapping A book I think sold or advertised in ATM in 80's

2) Skip-Hit System All I know its part of the RPM consensus software and Im just curious of what it is Thie manual doesnt tell you squat

The Skip-Hit System that appears in the RPM 's Master Consensus Program, probably came from their book "Betting Cheap (Broken-Down Claimers) page 37. It's about 20 pages long.

This system originally appeared in a book by Jack Kavanagh called "How You Can Beat The Race" copyright 1957. They appeared to have scanned it in from the book. The fonts and length of the lines and paragraphs are perfect matches.

It is a system for cheap claimers. There are 14 rules. The horse must be Male, 4 to 8 years old, entered to be claimed for $5000 or less. Not sure how many races you find like that today. The computer version probably has been updated, it seems to reward points in every race type.

The Kavanagh book listed a 3 year test with 216 selections. There were 49 winners for 23% win percentage. Invested $432 dollars and returned $625. Were these real tests or was the system developed from back fitting information? Don't know.

Do you have the updated Master Consensus Program? In the original program you could click on a button and it would show the points for the different systems. Can you do that in the current version? I picked the program up off of ebay mainly out of curiosity , but didn't like the layout of information. Never gave it a real test. The new version uses grids display information.
