Breeders Cup Divisions

Horse Racing Nation is doing a live show tomorrow at 4pm PT/7pm ET with Chip Gehrke to go over his Division Rankings. We will go over how the wrap up of with Win and In series shook up the rankings.

You can join us in the chat and ask Chip any questions.

Just a note:

Maxfield is out of the Classic. He'll be pointed to the Clark instead.

Should be good. Chip Gehrke is a good handicapper.
I'm trying to get a feel for the divisions

I guess.
Always felt he was a horse that couldn't win(a big race)in New York or California.

These numbers are relatively meaningless without the number of starters.

Facts are never meaningless.

it's true.

and he even used the word 'relatively'

good numbers in any sense = a good thing

As a fan, we can see this list and say; "Apparently, Brad Cox hasn't disappeared under the competition level and spotlight of the Breeders Cup".

Cox had a great 2020, winning four races last BC (Monomoy Girl (Distaff), Essential Quality(Juvenile), Knicks Go(Dirt Mile), Aunt Pearl(Juvenile Fillies Turf). Not sure if he went 4/4, but it was a stat friendly performance.

I believe Cox is now 7/20 lifetime given his 35% above.
Respect Brad Cox, and take notice.

Pletcher has 11 Breeders Cup wins to my knowledge and at the 7.5% winners, this would place Todd Pletcher at about 11/147. Big sample size difference.

Knicks (the NBA team, not the horse) are now 1-0, after the season opener.

You've lost me with both of your responses to me in this thread.
My initial post listed the "big five" trainers win percentages in Breeders Cup races........that's all.......nothing more......nothing less.
As I stated from the top,I took those numbers from Horse Racing Nation.
The numbers were........well........they were facts......can't think of any other way to put it.
If it bothers you that I didn't list the number of starters from each barn, that's your problem.........not mine.
