Did anyone see Congruent's last-to-first win from post 12 in last Saturday's John Battaglia Memorial Stakes at Turfway Park?

And he was 16-1 - and has the coveted Classic-shaped Dosage Profile: 6-11-14-1-0, for a DI of 3.00 and a CD of 0.69.

The Jeff Ruby Stakes on the 25th would appear to be next for the gray son of Tapit, and an in-the-money finish therein punches his ticket to the Derby.

Thank you for the heads up on this horse Thomas. I went back and watched the replay several times and that was indeed a "WOW" effort!! Very nice horse. He may just be coming into his own at the right time. I hope that he runs in the Jeff Ruby because I can't wait to see him.

Currently 73-1 in the future pool. The horse scored a decent 100 Equibase figure. Not the running style that typically wins the Derby but there’s usually one of those that blows up exotics.

I thought the pace collapsed and made him look better than it appeared.

Needs to improve his numbers a little more to compete with the current top horses but I'm glad to see him back on the derby trail. I used him in the very first futures pool only to see them switch to turf races. I thought he was off the trail after several failures but he may be live again. I have him in some nice paying exactas so just hoping he makes the gate first Saturday of May.

Of the two late-running gray sons of Tapit on the Derby Trail (other one is Tapit Trice), I might like Congruent better.

He's in the Ruby Steaks tomorrow; looks like third choice at 5-1.
