Wow, that's amazing. I would of thought maybe it would be an automatic dq if the jockey touches the ground, but I guess not. I know Betfair offers live inplay betting on New Zealand. I'm guessing some were quick to bet against that horse and eat up any available lay action up the 1000-1 max.

Maybe the horse got an adrenaline rush from the fall and that helped.
