Good news. Heard via email from Randy Giles that he's returning to his site at www.randygiles.com in a few weeks and will publish more pace articles.
For those of you who haven't been there he's got a very thoughtful take on pace with some good essays and unusual methods. You can download a sprint pace appraiser which tells you if a race was run much faster than par in the early going.
Good stuff...

How does his stuff work for you, Hurrikane?
I've done well with the hot pace stuff and the pace pressure gauge but never used the optimal model.

I find if you pick your spots on the pace pressure stuff and demand value you'll do fine.

I've never used his turf formula.
