Anyone know how the Walmart business model works in regard to the ownership of the land and buildings? I don't feel like researching. I would think closing a store is a big financial loss.

I saw someone who was looting actually stop and talk to the news media holding their loot. They claimed since the businesses are insured no one is harmed.

It's just reparations in another form. Don't think for one moment it's not.

During the race-charged violent and looting days of the late 1960s-early 1970s, supermarkets in inner cities throughout the USA were closing on a regular basis.

The reason: the profit margins for most supermarkets was about <1 per cent and losses due to theft and destruction were just too great to overcome.

Wal-Mart is the low cost retailer of our modern times and they know better than most it is best to close shop.

The race hustlers of those earlier times called the supermarket owners racist and wanting to starve poor people. Soon, we'll hear the same racist rants hurled at Wa-Mart.

That already happened in Chicago, some black alderman was speaking to group protesting a Walmart closing while playing a whole deck of race cards.
I think that was a couple weeks ago.
