No other sub-forum gets that high a number except off-topic....off-topic regularly gets 300+ in the middle of the night...I've been talking about this privately with people for quite some time now...and today it's over twice that number...

Can you see the IP's or does the user have to be logged in?

This is a serious question because I don't even have a guess.

I know how bots are used to put out messages on Twitter. You'll see dozens of the same exact political tweet from multiple IDs at approximate the same time. So you know they are all controlled bots.

But what could someone possibly be interested in here. It's not like there's a touting service they are monitoring for picks.

I noticed those high numbers also and could never figure it out.

Aren't bots used for making posts? That does not seem to be the case here. Probably losers hired by the deep state, living in their mother's basement eating Hot Pockets, paid to monitor MAGA chatter.

My wife's phone has suggested ads ( maybe 'Tiktok'?, not sure where it was ) after simply talking about a subject eg "Baby, I changed the brakes but I still gotta go back and free the frozen caliper pin"... ).

autozone , brake pads, Midas ...

If a Brinks truck has an incident at X.Location, I'm pretty sure that authorities be it 100% legal or not can view things like cell phone travel patterns through and near that exit ramp for the past month. Perhaps more in depth than that. I don't know the exact rules for whether they can present that as evidence, or whether they have to go through getting a witness deal to make a concrete thing.

anyway, the point was supposed to be that it's more in capable than is often noticed, and that if there's power or profit to be had, all these patterns and capabilities are sometimes capitalized upon.

The easy explanation is what I've been telling you for awhile: this board is no longer a horseracing site...it's a political site.
The hottest of hot button topics these days is politics / libs vs cons / Biden Trump / gun control, and that's what is discussed almost exclusively here.

This site has been around for along time. Give yourself some credit. You've cultivated quite a following, no matter the topics being discussed.
