Don't get discouraged at all, for your first time at the World Series or a live tournament at all you had a great showing. The main advice I can give you is to take as much out of each live event that you play. I try to learn something new at each live tournament. My first time at a live tournament was the World Series in 2014. I finished somewhere around 100th. The next year I went back and was in 11th after day 2. I made plenty of mistakes Saturday and finished 29th overall. Although you have to pick winners, especially in these size tournaments, often my goal is to not beat myself by making mistakes.
Hope this advice helps, let me know if you are going to any other Vegas tournaments this year. I will be at the derby weekend treasure island contest ( my first time ) , I will be at the summer classic, and Wynn tournament, followed by the fall classic.
