50+ dead in mass shooting - Las Vegas
 

Saw on TV this morning. Details sketchy at this time. Gunman with assault rifle opened up from 32nd floor the Mandalay Bay hotel. Gunman identified as Stephen Paddock - a local resident.

Gunman 64 yo was taken down and killed by police.

Heard some of the video when the assault began, it sounded like a jackhammer going off.When he ran out of ammunition he would reload and start again.I'm amazed there weren't more casualities with 40,000 people in a confined area.

Terrible news to wake up to.

There was a time where people in this country didn't randomly massacre people. The only thing we can know for sure about these murderers is they aren't worried about their soul.

My guess is that this was another nutty left wing terrorist who was going to kill himself a bunch of redneck, Christian, racist Trump supporters at this country music festival...but that's just a guess.

I've wondered. Selected to kill a bunch of country music fans. Too soon to say, but that's the group who as a whole are patriotic, Christian, white.

PS: The NFL better be having some serious talks and telling their players they better not have a protest tonight.

It does appear the body count on these mass shootings has continued to increase over the last couple decades. I would be curious as to why. You can't blame the weaponry as clip fed semi-automatic rifles have been around for over 100 years and the 100 round drums go back to the Roaring 20's.

A total disregard for the value of human life seems to have increased among the general public in the past few decades. Discuss among yourselves why this might be so...
