Open mindedness is the first attribute that one must have in that category,
to be a learner, I mean.
We are talking here of two traits:
1. Commitment
2. Tentativeness
A true learner shows both. First of all,
commitment to the belief system that one holds.
Secondly a tentativeness in the understanding that in the confrontation of new knowledge the first belief would be abandoned.
For sure, I will vouch for 46Zil's commitment.
OOps. I can't quite vouch for his tentativeness. Sorry.
Perhaps that's an area for consideration.
