So far COVID 19 has not affected me financially.
If my kids get laid off it will cost me plenty, just like what Obamacare did to me.

Health-wise, I'm gaining weight.
I still go to the gym, but I'm spending too much time at home watching TV and eating.
One makes you stupid and the other makes you poop.

Another month living like this will make me into a stupid pooper,
just like I was when I was two years old.

Shocked your gym hasn't closed. Very easy to spread the virus thru sweat. Gyms probably about the worst place to avoid the virus.

I wonder if I can get out of my planet fitness contract, or at least not be charged until 'the other side of the curve'...

My wife's gym has suspended accounts.

I'd expect anyone reputable will do they same.

We live in Reno.

The mayor has made an edict that ALL businesses be closed until further notice. Exceptions are health-related, and businesses deemed "essential."

Casinos are all closed as of last night or tonight. Restaurants only open for take out.

Any business without huge cash reserves is going to be out of business, and their employees will be crushed.

How many small businesses - especially mom & pops - could withstand this?

In the scheme of things, this is (potentially) the Great Depression all over again.

I wish all of you the best and shall offer prayers for you as well.

My wife and I are on voluntary lockdown. Biggest problem so far is that groceries are running low. I need to go out to replenish a few things otherwise we will be down to baloney sandwiches, hot dogs and Campbell's soup. Wife thinks we can survive a month on what we've got but I hope it does not come to that.

Minor problem. We were planning a vacation trip this summer. That's out. If the emergency lasts 18 months then next summer is out too. :bang:

I can't go to Hooter's

Kroger doesn't even have SPAM left on the shelf.

I don't want to sit in long drive through lines for a Whataburger.

Live basketball in front of an empty gym in Spain doesn't satisfy my sports hunger.

Soon I will be using old clothes for toilet paper.

83 years old, have most of the conditions one should not have.
I'm laying back in the field, just looking to cross the finish line.
I'm running on a great family track, have plenty of room on the rail. pace is easy.

I agree about the Great Depression. We've done a complete 180. That is why I am thinking (or hoping) those in the know are aware that it is a bio-terrorist attack. I remember when we bombed Iran thinking I would not be surprised if we get attacked thinking subway bombs, suitcase bombs, etc. Not necessarily Iran but I think someone's doing this to us.

If not a "known" bio-attack then we have probably gone too far in our reaction.

Iran isn't this clever.

If they were gonna bio-attack, it would be something localized and devastatingly effective.

They wouldn't go for the more subtle, 3% kill rate, worldwide approach...makes zero sense.

If this is intentional, it is China. We will be hurt badly but in the long run it could backfire on them.
