Though not "points" races, the San Vicente winner (Nyquist) and the Sam F. Davis winner (Destin) both ran 114s on Saturday.

I realize it is not really a Derby Trail race, but what was your TFUS fig for Nyquist in the San Vicente?

Per CJ's earlier post, both Nyquist and Destin got a 114 in their non-points wins.

Wondering if Malibu Sunset put up a number close to any of the contenders? He looked really good in this race, but it could have been a very weak race?

Ran 105 in his debut, only 96 in this one but the fractions were so slow it is probably not worth basing much on this number.

Little bit of a misnomer with your last four columns, I believe. The Santa Ysabel , for example, has zero Kentucky Derby points but 50-20-10-5 Kentucky Oaks points.

CJ..Songbird has the two highest 3/4 numbers. And in both races just cruised to the wire. How important is that 3/4 to you in your analysis of a performance? How fast do you think she can go? Sorry just noticed the Gotham had a higher #..

She could probably be the favorite on the first saturday in may, or 1-9 in the Oaks ?

That is a good question. I'm usually suspect of horses that keep winning wire to wire while alone on the lead, but in her case she is running fast to do it based on my pace figures. She is simply faster than the competition and I'm not sure others can keep up early even if asked to do so. It would probably be a suicide mission.

If I had to guess, I'd say by the end of this year at 1m 1/8 she could run 130 based on what I've seen so far. I'm in no hurry to bet on or against her so I'm just going to enjoy as a fan.
