Never understood the attraction to 'bucks. Always thought their products are overrated and overpriced -- not a great combo for growth.

Tom 06-19-2018 08:29 PM

Starbucks' coffee......:puke:

I seriously doubt that Howard Schultz potentially running for President- and I don't think he even does that- has anything to do with store closings. The business cycle will inevitably turn downwards (that'a why it's called a cycle) and it's always best to leave a party on your own rather than be told to leave.Starbucks is starting to enter the mature point of its American market share. It can still be profitable but rapid growth will have to come from overseas.

I have a great idea for a blockbuster PR stunt: The 'bucks should give away free coffee and donuts to all homeless people who come into their store looking for a handout. That move should send a tingle up every liberal's leg. Business will boom again!

boxcar 06-20-2018 09:43 AM

I'm curious, folks. Can some Starbuck customer here tell me, please, what does a cup of their regular, low-end mud go for these days?

Part of their new bathroom policy.

That third bathroom must be for eunuchs. For who else could it be? So, what do liberals and eunuchs have in common? Liberals are to society what eunuchs are to procreation. (It might take a lib several days to figure this one out.) :coffee:

I stopped drinking coffee about 20 years ago, although I will always have my espresso with Sambuca at Christmas. I had no specific reason to stop. I don't miss it.

I'm sure their coffee is good, but at $4 (or whatever) a cup it would have to be incomparable.

Tom 06-21-2018 11:49 AM

McDonalds....$1 any size.

Good coffee, cheap price.:p:ThmbUp:

I thought they gave liberals their own toilet because the liberals couldn't stand having to use one where the conservatives peed all over the seat.

Starbucks has become little more than a safe house for lunatic liberals along with those annoying barista sissies lecturing paying customers with out-of-mainstream rhetoric.

Is all this a coincidence that sales have dropped, stores are closing, and a stock price that has generally underperformed??

letswastemoney 06-21-2018 01:48 PM

I don't think the labels on the Starbucks restrooms matter. It's probably going to be just one toilet and a sink no matter if it's men's or women's.

Now they can pee all over their hands in private and not have to wash them.

Ding! Read between the lines.......you piss off half the country with your goofy social justice crap.......

“Meanwhile, critics of the company-wide diversity workshops argued that Starbucks sent the wrong signal by bowing to social-justice protesters instead of tending to its business model.”

It amazes me how they can run a "stand alone" shop here the size of McDonalds. I can see a small shop in a Target or Wally world but I gotta agree with "overrated and overpriced"
