The long awaited winter Olympics are practically here.


Interesting notes so far ...

NBC and ESPN will not send any of their announcers there (because of china virus) and they will announce from USA

many journalists are planning on using burner phones and laptops that they will leave in China when they come home

some of the events will be on man made snow/ice as their location usually does not have much snow

workers for the event in China have been in quarantine for a couple weeks already

We should completely boycott it.
If we have to send a team, send Seal Team 6.

Maybe Biden plans on returning the favor by dropping off our own homegrown virus into their laps. :D

The Chinese need a good kick in the nuts, but to send a real message we need to pull out all the manufacturing we outsourced to them. Why put the onus on the Olympics?

How do you get multinational companies to NOT try and maximize profit by minimizing costs? big import taxes?

It's hypocritical to say we will send a message by boycotting the Olympics yet still allow companies like Epiphone Guitars to continue manufacturing in China. BTW, I loved their high quality Kalamazoo Michigan produced guitars. They decided to maximize profits and minimize costs by shutting the plant down to build an inferior product in China. Absolute junk.

And the real kicker is all the Chibson come out of the Epiphone Plant... either directly or indirectly. Can blame the China shift on Norlin Era of Gibson.
