Can States Ban Twitter / Facebook
If a state was so inclined, could they ban Twitter or Facebook from doing business in that State.

Those idiots are mixing business with politics, which is pretty stupid. I’d like to see how this plays out.
Their reaction to censorship is more censorship.
Interesting

Not at all. Neither Twitter nor Facebook is being censored, if access is REQUESTED. How about if all of those deleted Twitter and/or Facebook accounts made the same request of them?
There's a huge difference between choice and 'Commie' no choice. Don't cha know?

When will the people of all these states ban Twitter/Facebook instead?
Just let the jerks and idiots in the media, political, sports and celebrity cess pools, the well-meaning grandparents who post 100s of pictures of their little darlings, and the boring, stay-at-home Karens with their 3 ingredient bagel recipes play amongst themselves believing the world needs them and a Twitter/Facebook.

WOW
"which is pretty stupid" was my reaction to your post as well. So to sum up your position, twitter isn't mixing business and politics, and if they are, the first one to do it shouldn't have to deal with in-kind retaliation.
Yours is maybe the dumbest and least introspective post I've seen in a while and I've read all of Harry's posts to know.

IMO, it's a terrible idea, but when you are dealing with a politically motived company with a horrible policy, maybe teaching them the error of their ways by doing it right back to them is the right response in the short term.

Fair enough...but those sites have been blocked unless each customer calls and requests it not be blocked.
I agree, Twitter & Facebook were wrong to block Trump (and other accounts that are Republican in nature)...but how does this move help anything?
This is clearly a case of "well, if they're gonna do something ridiculous then so am I"

I don't think so. The company was being prudent, apparently, regarding their workload (cost effective policy). So many people were calling them to cancel access to Twitter and/or Facebook from their accounts that the company simply made both Twitter and Facebook an optional add-on (at no additional cost, I presume). Maybe there are more responsible 'parents' out there than what I had previously thought.

It show them that they will not be able to get away with censoring conservative speech. Republican's / conservatives need to respond. This will work better than a riot.
